"People Like Us" Hang Out Places in Ho Chi Minh City, VIETNAM
I had a writer block today and totally have idea about what I should write for my client. To kill Sunday free time, the idea of sharing about "hang out" places for "People Like Us" in Vietnam came to my mind. I personally will say that Vietnamese, straight or gay really good in balancing their works, family and self entertainment.
When saying about "People Like Us" hang out places, I did not refer to negativity, but mostly towards what they love to do and places where you can find a big crowd of LGBT communities in Vietnam. Some may be easy for foreigner, and many other places maybe need you to go with a native Vietnamese speaker friend if you don't speak "Tieng Viet"
Located about 50 meter from the opposite side of Sherwood Residence at Pasteur Street. This eatery place normally crowded from 8pm till late. Snails, crabs and fried noodle among the quick food to order. Normally guys will gather here for cheaper drink before heading to club. At least, they can get a little bit drunk from bottles of beer here.
At day time, Le Pub maybe a little bit quite and most of the customers are backpackers. The scene will slowly change after 7.00 pm when youngsters will start making a crowd here. With latest Korean hits and US pop song, people can get histeria singing together when their favorite song played. The drink price is relatively affordable for youngsters. Just like in Pasteur street, guys will come here for some drinks or gather with friends before moving to clubs after 12.00 am. Oh! After 12.00 am, the crowd in Le Pub will slowly dismiss.
I think the famous outlet will be in Parkson Huong Vuong Plaza and Queen Ann Building. Well, no surprise to say that this gymnasium is a good place for eye cruising. And, no surprise when young guy come here just to play with their Iphone or Ipad instead of doing their work out routine.
Swimming is a common scene among youngsters especially in Ho Chi Minh City. Instead of common routine in the gym, swimming also a good option for exercising. This pool also a good place to meet and make new friends. Ah! Don't worry, Vietnamese speak good English! Mostly.
Check this place on every early Sunday morning around 7.00 am until 10.00 am. Flawless Vietnamese faces will be your temptation here. They dress well for breakfast, charming smile and always laughing and talking to each other. A good start for a great weekend i guess.
Well, this is one of the centre for everything. I don't really think people will make friend here. Unlike pubs and bar in Thailand, people will come here in a group or couple and normally each people know each other. If you are White, you probably have a higher chance to meet new buddies. This Centro Bar is located next building to the Caravelle Hotel and Lion Brahaus
This place is slightly upmarket. Mostly popular among celebrities, models, professional workers and so called grade A Vietnamese. The drink is very affordable, suitable to the class of the place. Good music for chillaxing with friends over the weekend.
I don't really know how to describe about this place. Was here like twice or thrice. Located at 200 Le Hong Fong Street, District 5. How to get here? From District 1, you will go straight at Hung Vuong Street and turn to the left at Le Hong Phong four junctions. It is about 20meter from the turn next to the Phuong Trang bus pick up to Dalat. It is good to get here from 11.00 pm till early morning. Some guys are going here for more drinks and foods after going to clubs or bars in District 1. A great place to see guys from all walks of life.
If you are looking for places to pamper yourself with good quality services, Nam Spa is really worth for trying. This place is much better than some other places which is dirty, unsafe and bad services.
At first, my mind said that people who are going to this coffee bean are just like wanna go for a dinner event or party. Many of the guys and girl dressed really well. Very eye catchy place for evening resting with friend and enjoying the Coffee Beanie drinks.
Well, just like the Coffee Bean at Metropolitan Building, you can see a lot of "us" here. Mostly youngsters especially after working hours till late. Bigger crowd is expected over the weekend.
This Sinh To or fruit "smoothies" is kind of a scene. I had been here few times during heaty nights in Saigon. The crowd was really unexpected.
