The Founding of Logan Memorial Monument, Penang

Why this posting I called it as "founding"? It was late noon and we were about to go home and we passed by this monument which is located not really far from Padang Kota Lama food court.

Here is a short information about this Logan Memorial Monument

"The monument was erected by the people of the Straits Settlement to the memory of James Richardson Logan, who died in 1869. Logan was a lwayer who stood up against East India Company officialdom to champion the right of the local community. An explorer and ethologist, he started the first scholarly journal for Southest Asia"
