A Lovely Korean Lunch at Gangnam Station, Laman Seri Shah Alam.

Hi everyone. I am still here. Just lately so busy with my new business, Danial & Chris Home Decor, a unique company selling an affordable window curtains. But for this article, I don't want to talk about my business, but more like to post all pending articles about places that i went since last September (I guess).

This time, I would like to share about a Korean restaurant located in Laman Seri, Shah Alam. The place is is along the Persiaran Sukan or just a distance from the gigantic Shah Alam Stadium. Yeah1 It is Gangnam Station Korean restaurant.

I was introduced by my manager, Faizal about this restaurant. Our office is in Taman Tun and for me Shah Alam is quiet a distance from our office. But since it is the birthday of Sultan Selangor and a Public Holiday for Selangorian, we do have a easy ride to this restaurant.

Well, lets refer to food menu. The restaurant is specialize in bulgogi (as what I remember). But for that time, we are not looking for Bulgogi, but instead hungry for the lunch set which is for us very affordable (around RM13.90 per set if I am not wrong). But too bad, there were no set on that Public Holiday and were opt to ala carte menu which is not so bad.

Nakji Bokkeium

So, we ordered item No. 7 (Sundubu jjigae) and item No. 13 (nakji bokkeum) besides 2 steamed rice. Another name for Sundubu Jjigae is Korean Hot and Spicy stew. It is consisted of Dubu (Tofu), seafoods such as mussels, shrimp and clams which very common, mushroom, vegetable, scallion and gochujang or gochu garu (chili powder) in Korean cuisine. This Sundubu Jjigae is very nice to enjoy with a bowl of hot steamed rice and several kind of Bachan (side dishes).

Sundubu Jiggae

As for Nakji Bokkeum, it is a stir fried food with combine of chopped squid. onion, green onion, cabbage and carrot. The they the mixed the squid with gochujang, salt and pepper, soy sauce and garlic. The Nakji Bokkeum is spicy and normally people will have it with a bowl of shellfish soup to reduce the hot sensationess.

Overall, this is really nice. I have to stand up and say that the Kimchi here is the bestest. It was juicy and full of flavour besides the generous amount of serving. Will I come again to this restaurant, the answer is definitely yes! yes! yes!

Overall, we spent RM58.30 for everything and this is really a good price too. Great to share that this restaurant is halal for our Muslim friends.
