The Smoke House of Cameron Highland, Malaysia

This time I would like to share about the Smoke House Hotel and Restaurant for those who would like to feel the difference among the earliest Tudor architecture which was build in Cameron Highland and still exist until now.

Smoke House Hotel & Restaurant was built on 1937 by Douglas Warin which purposely built  this property as a hotel with only 6 rooms. This hotel was built in a very Tudor-ly style and complete with English style of decoration plus a very beautiful English garden around the hotel area.

According to historical source, the mission of developing this hotel is to create a place with the same outlook as in UK and this property received a great respond from English colonies in Malaya especially when they miss the environment at their homeland.

To visit the Smoke House is very easy. This hotel is located at the mainroad of Tanah Rata to Brinchang, or exactly next to the Cameron Highland Gold Course.

People are welcome to dine and stay in this hotel. However, if its too pricey for you, there is nor harm to drop by to this hotel for photography and its free. There parts that you cannot enter which you need to respect it.

In case you would like to explore and taking photo in this Smoke House, why don't you join the High Tea at the cafe with price about RM30 for set of Scone and Tea. This is the cheapest ticket for you to enter the dining area, the living area, receptionist area and also to wander at the English garden.

Room Rate: RM400++ to RM700++ and Traditional English Breakfast is inclusive.
