District 7 can be considered as an urban district of Saigon which mainly targeted to high earner Vietnamese and expatriates community. District 7 is very complex with all-in-one facilities such as retail outlets, convention centre, apartments and landed houses, hospital, schools and malls. Since the launching for this new development, Vietnamese are very confident buying property here for investment or for their own use.
Phu My Hung Development Area

Living in District 7 is very conveniennt for family living. Instead of going to District 1 and facing high traffic congestion and pollution, you may do your shopping and entertainment in District 7. Malaysian owned Parkson Paragon, brand new The Crescent Mall, Coop Mart Supermarket and Korean owned Lotte Mart offers varieties of your groceries and lifestyle shopping needs. From asian cooking ingredients, household and popular brands such as BCBGMAXAZRIA, Diesel, DKNY and Esprit are available for shoppers. If you are Malaysian or Singaporean, a very famous Giant Supermarket is located at lower ground floor of The Crescent Mall is what you seeking for.
In terms of entertainment in District 7, you may go out for bowling at a bowling and game center at the top floor of Lotte Mart. There are 3 good cinemas in District 7 which is Lotte Cinema at top floor of Lotte Mart, Megastar Cinema at Saigon Paragon and their brand new outlet at The Crescent Mall. Premium Movie Theater is available at Parkson Paragon’s Megastar with a very comfortable sofa type seating and in-house concierge.
The disadvantages of living in District 7
District 7 can be considered as a remote area. If you are looking for all night long hang out, you need to go to city centre as there is not much to explore in here. Public transport is also not so convenient and taxi is main transportation in this area. Other than that, the cost of living here is a bit higher compared to other districts as you need to spend for your high rental, transportation and children’s education.
