Kuantan Places: Teluk Cempedak aka "Jackfruit Bay"
Teluk Cempedak, Kuantan |
Teluk Cempedak, literally as "Jackfruit Bay" is a very beautiful beach and located about 6.6km from Kuantan or 15 minutes by driving. My last visit to this beach was back 20 years ago (I was 8 years old on that time) and I really cannot recall anything.
Some people said that, the name of Teluk Cempedak was because of many years ago, people were growing jackfruit trees along the bay, until people called it as Teluk Cempedak.

Anyway, this 2013 visit really wow-ed me. The beach is very clean, from far you can see the sea water is really blue and the white soft sand awaits you. In my opinion, picnic in Teluk Cempedak is a must for everybody who plan to visit Kuantan.

The McDonald, Teluk Cempedak |
For Kuantan people, Teluk Cempedak is a good place for afternoon relaxing. The international foodie outlets such as McDonald, KFC and Burger King is there. More surprise for me, the famous Taiwanese beverages outlet, Chatime was there too (next to the McDonald) or just a stone throw from the beach.
Besides a good place for chillaxing, Teluk Cempedak beach is a very good place for swimming, surfing, jet-skieng and sun bathing. Besides, you can trail the wooden bridge from Teluk Cempedak to Teluk Pelindung to see
Chatime, my favorite is Red Bean with Pearl |
What else you can find nearby this Teluk Cempedak? The famous curry noodle of Hoi Yin Restaurant is just a distance from here, and Kampung Tanjung Api Fishing Village is located about 2.5km from the beach. If you are looking for something more luxury, why don't you check-in at Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort, the first 5 Star resort by the beach in Kuantan.
Clean and peace, Teluk Cempedak |
