The Best: Mee Goreng Sotong, Bangkok Lane, Penang
One of the must do activity when come to the Penang is to hunt for their delicious local foods. Other than the famous Nasi Kandar to the authentic Assam Laksa, Mee Goreng Sotong or Squid Fried Noodle is another hot stuff for you guys to try.
We been to few places in Penang which served this Mee Goreng Sotong. Our first time was at Jalan Burmah and the second time was on 2014 at Esplanade, Penang. Why we go to these 2 places is because the one that we want to try (which is at Bangkok Lane) was closed. But this time, luck was on our side and the restaurant was opened to fulfill our Mee Goreng Sotong craving.
Since this place is famous, of course it crowded with local and tourist. Once we found our table, a worker came to us and straight away I'm asking for 2 servings of Mee Goreng Sotong. Minutes later, the noodles was served to us.
How was it? Awesome! It not as firing as the one at Esplanade (truly hot and spicy) and more flavour compared to the one at Jalan Burmah (the opposite corner of this Bangkok Lane). I feel it is truly worth my few attempts of trying this place and finally I got mine one.
So, if you guys come to Penang, please make a short round to the Bangkok Lane and this restaurant is located at the T Junction of Jalan Burmah and Bangkok Lane.
Good luck & Happy Trying!
