Weekend Escape to Mũi Kê Gà (Kê Gà Beach) Bình Thuận

If you get bored with Mui Ne beach, but still would like to pamper yourself with breezy and sunny day, why don't you give a try to visit Mui Ke Ga or some called it as Hon Ba. This island is very quiet and calm as not so many tourist know about this place. This island is located in Binh Thuan province or about 40km from Phan Thiet city. 

How to get here? You can buy bus ticket at Phuong Trang ticketing counter from Saigon - Muine. When arrived to Tien Thanh, you may get off and catch any local buses to Ke Ga. Or else, you can use car service (Mr. Kim Hung 0984 285 050) which will cost you around VND180,000 per person. The journey from Saigon to Ke Ga normally will take around 5 hours.

If you want to find a good resort to stay, Rock Water Bay is a good option. This resort come with a very nice and modern furniture. There is a salt water swimming pool which made with granite craggy cliff and it is located overlooking the sea. If you love massage, you can choose to do beach massage services and in the same time, listening to the sound of the sea breeze and enjoying the wind blowing softly to your face. Besides, you also can pamper yourself at at Eco Spa Village which is located at Rock Water Bay Resort. This is a perfect place for you to enjoy the massage therapy by a professional therapist. 

More about the resort units, you also can choose to stay at bungalow unit which is situated very close to the sea or on the craggy cliff and facing to the sea. This is quiet romantic for couple to watch the sunset together while enjoying glass of wine. 

In terms of foods here, I will suggest you to dine in at the resort. In general, the foods here came with an acceptable price. One set of lunch or dinner normally will cost you around USD7 per set and ala-carte menu normally will cost you around USD3 each. 

Other than exploring the beauty of the beach of Mui Ke Ga, other attraction for you to visit here is the Ke Ga Lighthouse which is located about 4km from the Island. Historically, the French on year 1897 has developed this flame lighthouse tower at Ke Ga. The lamp which was places at 65 meters height is to help ships passed this estuary and this lighthouse began the operation on 1990 and until now, it is still working and the light can be seen beyond 20 nautical miles. This Ke Ga lighthouse has two merits in Vietnamese tourism map as the 2nd highest lighthouse in Vietnam and also the oldest lighthouse in Vietnam. 

Last but not least, don't forget to to bring mosquito incense or repellent as if you do not want to be attached by mosquitoes at everywhere you go.
